I am currently trying to run a 3-in-1 blog. Right now, I have it set to a static homepage with three links at the top to guide users to posts in my three main categories (Regardless, From the Scales of Lissa Kristine, Two Scoops of Crazy).
I plan on creating three showcase pages (one for each category) to display recent posts, etc. There, I will have a different banner/header for each category. This is fairly easy to do on my own. However, I don't want recent posts for "Regardless" to display under "Two Scoops of Crazy." I only want posts for that specific category's page (if that makes sense).
I also wanted to set my blog up so each category has its own default banner. Is that even possible? I know I can set the featured image for individual posts and pages, but I wanted it so my "Regardless" banner will display if someone looks at the category archives.
I am pretty much clueless when it comes to CSS coding, etc. I'm basically skilled enough to copy and paste- maybe change an image url or text color. I'm not even sure if what I want to do is possible, but I want to test it out with a preview before I spend the $30/year upgrade for my site.
I would rather stick with the Twenty Eleven theme since I love the overall design of it, and all my banners have been customized to fit the theme.
Thanks for any advice you can give!
The blog I need help with is honeylissabee.com.
