   Is it possible to make only certain users able to post into certain categories?

   IE the Category is public for all to read, but only certain people can post in them?

   Not with the setup we have here at wordpress.com.

   From a quick look at your profile, I note that you've been here for only two hours. If your wordpress blog is hosted elsewhere than wordpress.com, and I'm assuming that it is, you may have missed the Please read me first post at the header of these forums and how you need to be over at http://wordpress.org as you're running different software.
