I've notice growing functionality and more features with themes over the last couple years at wordpress.com
many theme of the themes have a great look but have small fonts.
I would like to suggest, for the future, that wordpress.com themes give the ability to change the default text size of the blog.
Such feature does already exist for a few wordpress.Org themes

I second that motion! GREAT IDEA!
I spent ages controlling my font size with HTML then eventually age up. Used a typekit font for a while, but that doesn't work with my current Theme.
Not all of us have pefect eyesite!
