change location of adsense ad on blog due to inappropriate ad content

  1. I wish to have the adsense ads on my page moved further down. They are at the top and are the first thing your eyes go to. They have nothing to do with the content of the site, and sometimes the ad is somewhat offensive (dating services, etc.). I understand the need for adsense ads, and that's fine. However, I thought they were supposed to be at the bottom or towards the bottom of the wordpress blog, not at the top and super large...

The blog I need help with is rawrifficfood.wordpress.com.

  2. That's not possible. We bloggers cannot dictate which ads are placed on our blogs nor can we dictate where they are placed. However, we can purchase an annually renewable No-Ads upgrade to eliminate all WordPress.com initiated ads form our blogs.

  3. If the ads you see are found at the end of blog posts then provided you see this small About These Ads link http://en.wordpress.com/about-these-ads/ then what you are seeing is WordPress.com generated advertising.

Please also note that it's possible for ads to appear in your browser that were not placed there by WordPress.com. These ads are sometimes caused by malware or a virus, but more often it is due to a browser extension or toolbar that you may have installed in your browser. WordPress.com does not use text enhance or text link ads or pop-up ads or links in comments. If you are seeing those then see here: Bloggers: Beware of Adware. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/09/14/bloggers-beware-of-adware/
