Change location of sidebar from right to left

  1. I've been working on changing the CSS for the Quentin theme so that the right sidebar will be on the left. I've got it mostly figured out, but it only looks right in Internet Explorer. Safari and Firefox show the sidebar below the main posting area and on the far right. Any suggestions on how I should phrase the coding in order to get this to work on other search engines?

    The blog I need help with is pmlemar.wordpress.com.

  2. I should note, I will purchase the Custom CSS once I'm sure I've got this right.

  3. Please read this post > http://csswiz.wordpress.com/2009/10/15/if-you-have-the-wp-com-css-upgrade/Also note that CSS is theme specific here at wordpress.com, there is no official Staff support for the CSS upgrade, and precious little Volunteer support, please be patient and consult tutorials found here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-css/#css-help while waiting for a Volunteer to help you. :)

  4. OOPS! I missed a space above. Here's the correct URL http://csswiz.wordpress.com/2009/10/15/if-you-have-the-wp-com-css-upgrade/

  5. What is the code that you're using now? It looks like you'll get a long way with just:

    #content {float:right;}
    #menu {float:left;}

    You are officially my savior. I can't believe I couldn't come up with that simple sollution myself! Thank you SO much! My brain was really starting to hurt over here.

    @timethief

    Thanks for the help you gave me, too! I looked through those tutorials, but just couldn't figure out why it wasn't working in Mozilla Firefox, but was working in Internet Explorer.
