change name of blog - lose name of the blog?

    I want to change the name of my current main blog, but still want to keep the old name as a second blog for some sub-topics I´m not writing about very often. So what I want is my main blog with a new name and a new blog with the old name (I know it´s complicated, but I started writing stuff about topics that I do not feel fit the current name very well). I know there is the option to change the name of the blog - but when I click on it, it says I will not be able to use the current name anymore. Does it mean I cannot start a new blog with the old blog name instantly after?

    Blog names can be changed at any time on any blog on this page > Settings > General

    Blog addresses ie. URLs are changed by using this process.

    The final option presented on this screen allows you to discard your current address. This option will permanently disable the address and you will not be able to reuse it. Only select this option if you are sure you will not use the address again. If you want to redirect traffic to the new blog, you can keep the address and purchase the Site Redirect upgrade.

    Note that if a blog is deleted the deleted blog URL cannot be recycled.

    I´ve read those pages, but I´m still wondering: If I change the name of my current blog, will I be able to make a new blog with the same name? It says nobody else can register that name - but can I?
