change of e-mail address - it wont work?

  1. how do i change my e-mail address
I have tried to change my e-mail address to my new e-mail address which i want to use from now on I oringionally had a hotmail account and want to change this to my new @earlstonyouthcatchment.com email account so that this links with my new facebook, twitter and will be my account for notifications etc - but it just says that "there is a pending change to my e-mail" and has done so for over two weeks now - oh! what to do

The blog I need help with is earlstonyouthcatchment.wordpress.com.

  2. You have two separate email address settings at WordPress.com.

Blog notifications for the admin (like comment moderation, Likes, new subscriptions, etc) are sent to the email address at Settings -> General in the Dashboard.

Personal notifications (like comments on your post, subscription emails, and upgrade renewals) are sent to the email address at Users -> Personal Settings in the Dashboard.

See also > Issues Changing your E-mail Address > http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/#issues-changing-your-e-mail-address

P.S. Try changing it at http://wordpress.com/#!/settings/ first.
If that doesn't work, try Users -> Personal Settings in your blog's Dashboard.

  3. thanks for the super fast response! I have tried both these options but in the box where my e-mail change should go there is a box round it with this message. "There is a pending change of your e-mail to [email redacted]. Cancel" I have never had a wordpress account before so I am not linke dto another blog. thanks susan

  4. ok, just cancelled the pending change logged out logged in tried to make the change again and it is still coming up with the message. not sure what to do now?
