   Hi there,

   I have two questions unsolved:

   1)I have a blog on wordpress.com /http://ecovalcucine.wordpress.com), I've bought the 15 credits upgrade and I've realised i cannot add any widgets /e.g. add this, technorati, feedburner, slideshare etc). This is awaful!
   I've just read that in order to add widgets and plugins you have to have your blog registerd to wordpress.org instead. What shall I do? Is it possible to switch to wordpress.org keeping the same blog name?

   2? I'm not expert of codes and CSS editing. I'm currently using the theme Black-LetterHead by Ulysses Ronquillo and I'd like to put a picture instead of the grey background, then I'd like to change the colour of some texts (I'd like to put the red instead of the orange).

   Can anybody help me with these???
   I'm quite desperate...

   No, that's not true. WordPress.org doesn't host blogs like wordpress.com; however, you can download the software from wordpress.org and host it with a hosting provider. Thus, you wouldn't be able to "switch" over to wordpress.org and keeping the same blog name.

   On a self-hosted blog, you can do pretty much whatever you want.

   2) For that you need to put this code in the CSS editor

   body {
   	background: transparent url(url/path/to/your/file) 0 0;
   }
   
   h1, h1 a, h1 a:hover, h1 a:visited, .entry p a:visited, a, h2 a:hover, h3 a:hover, #flickr_badge_wrapper a {color: #f00;}

   If you don't want your background image to repeat, add</strong this to the "background" property: no-repeat.

   When you use this code, make sure it's the only code in the CSS editor and that the "Add this to the Black LetterHead CSS stylesheet" radio button is checked.

   Try that.
