Changed Nameservers but need to change IP address

  1. My domain is registered with wp.com but I've purchased hosting with godaddy and moving my site to wp.org.
I've changed the nameservers in my wp.com 48 hours ago but Godaddy says that I have to change the ip address as well, which I don't have access to.
Am I suppose to do something else for it to take effect? Help please.

The blog I need help with is lisajohnsonsawyer.com.

  2. There is no permanent static IP address for any WordPress.com blog. All IPs are dynamic ie. ever changing. Therefore WordPress.com does not provide static IP addresses. However, I'll tag this thread for a Staff response. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

    Currently I believe they are:
    192.0.80.250
    192.0.81.250
    66.155.11.238
    66.155.9.238
    76.74.254.120
    76.74.254.123

  3. You can point the domain you registered at WordPress.com to another server (hosting service), with these steps:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/change-name-servers/

You'll need to obtain the name server values from your current host. You should be able to find them on their support documentation, or contact them and ask for the information. (Name servers may be referred as "nameservers" or "NS records" instead.)

I hope this helps - let me know if you have any more questions!
