changing back the URL

  1. Hi,
I had a blog minusfriction.wordpress.com and I accidentally changed the URL, it deleted the previous URL and now I cant change it back to munisfriction and cant not even make a new one with this URL. Each time i try it says, Sorry, that site already exists! I know that it was my URl and nobody else can have it after 1 min of changing it.
How do I change it back to or make a new one with that URL?
    I'd appreciate any help.
    Thank you.

  2. Sorry, there were clear warnings during the process that this was a permanent thing and could not be undone (unless you specifically chose to keep the old URL in addition to the new one). WordPress does not recycle deleted blog URLs.

You will either have to use the URL you have now or create a new one, possibly a variation on the original you had.

  3. How do I change it back to or make a new one with that URL?

    You can't.

    7. The final option presented on this screen allows you to discard your current address. This option will permanently disable the address and you will not be able to reuse it. Only select this option if you are sure you will not use the address again. If you want to redirect traffic to the new blog, you can keep the address and purchase the Site Redirect upgrade. http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

A deleted blog URL cannot be reycled and reused by anyone. That's why it takes ignoring 3 warnings and then clicking a verification link in an email to dlete a blog here.

  4. Also note you can register your own domain via a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is.
