   It comes up an ugly black between slides i've added and rest of page.
   Contempt theme.
   Any clues?

   Hi Mike,
   Are you using the slideshow feature on your blog? I looked at pedestrian08.org but didn't see it in use there.

   At this time we don't have an option to change the black background color for the slideshow. We hope to introduce customization options in the future, so stay tuned.

   If you have the CSS upgrade then you can use this:

   .slideshow-window {background-color:#fff!important;}

   to change the background colour to white so the surrounding box doesn't show up.
