Changing blog address

    Hello.

    I changed the name of my blog to littlelocketinmypocket and now nothing seems to be working properly. I think the address is still lisalocketinmypocket. I followed the instructions on how to change it, but I just keep getting an error message.

    I'm not sure what to do? Can someone help? Completely new to this. Struggling a bit.

    You log -in by using this link http://lisalocketinmypocket.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

    The 404 (page not found) error message on the front page of your blog appeared because you deleted the placeholder Hello World post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/not-found/ As soon as you publish a post, not a page it will disappear. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/

    This learn.wordpress.com tutorial http://learn.wordpress.com may be helpful for getting started again.

    So do I need to delete it all and start again?
    What do you mean by when I post a post it wi disappear. Will pages not?

    Sorry.

    My iPhone app kept telling me my username and password didn't match. Entered my password and its still lisalocketinmypocket in the details and seemed to work.

    The 404 error message will disappear from the front page of your blog when you publish a Post because by default the front page of your blog is where Posts are displayed.

    Ok thanks. I think I understand now. Is it possible to change the address/name of your blog? Or can that not be done?

    If the .wordpress.com blog address you want is available, you can change it by using these instructions, > changing a blog address > http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

    Read this very carefully:

    7. The final option presented on this screen allows you to discard your current address. This option will permanently disable the address and you will not be able to reuse it. Only select this option if you are sure you will not use the address again. If you want to redirect traffic to the new blog, you can keep the address and purchase the Site Redirect upgrade. http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

    Deleted blog URLs are not recycled.
