Changing column size on one column theme - i Theme2

    I have started a new blog
    http://isadoraartandphotography.com/
    I am having a little trouble. I want to make the one column smaller so my images can be bigger. I thought this theme was for bigger images.

    Also ... I see that my comments on my this blog are showing my gravatar and blog url from my first site
    http://insidethemindofisadora.wordpress.com
    which means that if they click on that they will be directed to that blog which is my writing blog.
    Thank you for your help in advance.

    The blog I need help with is insidethemindofisadora.wordpress.com.

  2. I checked http://isadoraartandphotography.com/ and I see that you are currently using the iTheme2 theme. iTheme2 has a custom header image option as well as a featured image slider, but the images are setup to display at 593 pixels wide by default. You can read more about the features at http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/itheme2/

    Two themes which are particularly good at displaying large images out of the box are:
    * http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/nishita/
    * http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/anthem/

    If you wanted to stick with the iTheme2 theme and make it wider, you could start with something like this:

    #masthead, #main, #colophon {
    	max-width: 1200px;
    	width: 1200px;
    }

    And also change the limit width setting at the bottom of the Appearance → Custom Design → CSS page to 752. Note that you would need to adjust the 752 number depending on the width you choose.

    Or if you wanted to shift the column sizes to make the sidebar smaller and the main content area wider:

    #main .widget-area {
    	width: 20%;
    }
    #content {
    	margin-right: 22%;
    }

    And update the limit width on the Appearance → Custom Design → CSS page to 693.

  3. Also ... I see that my comments on my this blog are showing my gravatar and blog url from my first site
    http://insidethemindofisadora.wordpress.com
    which means that if they click on that they will be directed to that blog which is my writing blog.

    Gravatars are displayed based on email address. Each WordPress.com account has a unique email address. You can setup multiple blogs on one account, and that's what you have done. That means the account you log in as to manage your blogs is what determines which Gravatar and website link is used from that account's Users → My Profile page.

    If you would like different Gravatars and links for each blog or for different comments you leave, then you will need to create a separate account for each blog.
