Changing Font Size With the Contempt Theme?

  1. Hi everyone. I've never used CSS before but I'm tryint to figure it out. How do I change the font with my CSS? Do I click "view stylesheet" then just edit the numbers? If someone can provide a detailed description (something great for a beginner) it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks a lot!

    Hi Charihar,
I don't know a single thing about CSS, but this might help you.

  3. Since you say you are a beginner, I suspect that you have not purchased the CSS upgrade. Until you do this, you will only be able to *view* you CSS stylesheet, but not edit it.

In your question don't specify which particular font you want to change (ie. header, content, sidebar). No worries though. CSS is fairly intuitive and you should easily be able to find the tag for the font size that you want to change. You're probably best saving your template after making any majoy changes and then just playing around.

  4. You don't make your changes IN the stylesheet, you put them in the CSS editor box which then overrides the stylesheet. Click on Preview to see what you've done and Save Changes if you're happy with it (this only works if you've paid for the upgrade). The easiest thing to do is to check the box marked 'Add to existing stylesheet' so that you don't have to CSS everything from scratch.

  5. thanks guys. I actually upgraded CSS last night. so, if I'm adding something to the css editor box, what would I add if I'm trying to change the body's font size. I just want to make it a little smaller.

  6. Charihar, I suggest that you look at some of the free online CSS tutorials for help with basic questions like that.

  7. thanks guys, i'm figurin it out now.
