At the moment I have hidden the type in my header as I can't find where you can change what the type says. Can you help me find where to change the header type please?

Sure, you can change your blog title from Settings > General in your dashboard.

If you what you mean is "hide text" when you use the word "type" then that's an option found here > Dashboard > Appearance > Header
