Changing name server from domaincontrol to wordpress

I've recently just cancelled my registration with Google/Blogger for my domain (http://straykatssnapklub.com) and immediately bought the same domain on my wordpress account. It then said that my DNS needs to be updated and this showed up.

"Currently the nameservers for this domain are:

    NS53.DOMAINCONTROL.COM
    NS54.DOMAINCONTROL.COM

Using the DNS tools provided by your domain registrar, remove any existing nameservers and add the following:

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM"

The problem is, I don't know how or where to do that. It sounds pretty simple but I am really having trouble. I'd like to know which website should i go to, cause it says I have to go to my registrar's website. HELP!

The blog I need help with is straykatssnapklub.wordpress.com.

  2. So, what you purchased from WordPress.com was Domain Mapping. This is the upgrade you purchase if you have a domain registered elsewhere and want to use it with your WordPress.com account.

In general, canceled domains take some time to be released by a registrar and are not instantly available for registration. In fact, some are never released at all and are snapped up at auction by domain squatters or other domain "investors".

I would suggest that you ask Google/Blogger if you can uncancel the domain and then set your nameservers to point to your WordPress.com site.

However, if that is not possible, I can refund you the $13 Domain Mapping purchase.

Please let me know if you have further questions or if anything is unclear.
