I am trying to make a static home page/front page. I've created the page titled Home as suggested in the first step. The directions then say to title the template something other than home.php but i don't see where i can edit this. There is no template drop down on my edit page. This page is still saved under my drafts and not public. How can I fix this before moving onto step 2.
The blog I need help with is silvaunt.wordpress.com.
Instructions that refer to php files are for self-hosted blogs, not wp.com blogs. If you're talking about a self-hosted blog, you're in the wrong forum. If you're talking about the blog linked to your username, the right instructions are these:
