Just trying to figure out how to change the text color on my page where the "about" me section is on the top right of the page. Also truing to find out how to remove the "recent articles" and "archives."

The "About" link at the top right of your blog is in what is called the top navigation area. You can adjust the colors for top navigation items in the Photography theme with this CSS:
.nav a {
color: green;
}
.nav a:hover {
color: grey;
}Change the color names as necessary:

Or you can use hex color codes instead of color names if you'd like:
