Changing theme deleted the pages

  1. I changed my theme today morning and now in the new theme my old pages and posts have vanished. Even if I am trying to click on the link of the comment to one of the old page, it is telling 404 error. Is it that changing the theme deletes all the pages? How that is possible? Is there any way to retain back my old pages?

The blog I need help with is rhymingthoughtsplatter.wordpress.com.

  2. Hi there,

Just to confirm, is the blog in question rhymingthoughtsplatter.wordpress.com?

Changing themes should not delete posts and pages, so that's very strange that your posts and pages disappeared after you switched themes. Looking through your account activity, I'm seeing that some of your posts on rhymingthoughtsplatter.wordpress.com were deleted almost a year ago. Do you remember how many posts and pages you had that are missing?

  3. You were using Annotum, and you had published articles, not posts. You need to switch back to Annotum, edit each article to convert it to a post, then switch to a different theme.

  4. Thanks a lot. Now I have converted it to posts and can see my posts on my blog :)
    Thank you very much.
