Chateau theme: custom background/color not visible

  1. I'm using the Chateau theme. One of the options within the them is a custom background. I've tried uploading a custom background and that didn't appear so then I tried just selecting a color and that didn't work either. I've looked at my blog on different monitor sizes wondering if that could be the issue and it doesn't seem to be. Right now I have a color selected and all that's appearing is a big white screen. Is there something that needs to be edited in my CSS? Thanks for any help! :)

    The blog I need help with is prettysweetlife.com.

  2. You have pasted the entire stylesheet into the CSS edit window, and that causes issues at wordpress.com. What you want to do is to put only the specific selectors and the specific declarations you are adding or changing into the CSS edit window and then make sure that "add to existing..." is selected. Then your changes will override the original CSS.

    This is the quick and dirty fix, but you really need to do what I said above and remove all the CSS and then put in only your changes. The way you have done things now means that you will not be able to use the header or background image uploader or the background color stuff in the dashboard.

    body {
    background-color: #DDB95B;
    }
  3. Thanks! I will make the edits. :)

  4. You are welcome.
