At present there are no chatboxes I am aware of that can be used on free hosted WordPress.com blogs.

I'm sorry the answer was not the one you wanted to hear. There is no FTP access and we cannot install plugins for security reasons. They are only for WordPress.org installs and can't be used on free hosted WordPress.com blogs. Though you can't embed a message board or forum you have three free options: http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/04/23/wordpress-com-forum-options/
