Color change on sidebar

  1. I would like to change the color of the sidebar on my blog. I would also like to get all of the widgets to float in the center rather than to the left. What is the CSS for this?

    The blog I need help with is spiritofachildfoundationdotorg.wordpress.com.

  2. I would like to change the color of the sidebar on my blog.

    This will change the background color of the sidebar in the Toolbox theme:

    #sidebar {
    	background: #ffffaa;
    }

    However, if you add that you'll see that you might want to make some additional adjustments to the margins and placement of the sidebar in your setup if you change it's background color. Here is a modified example with some extra margin and padding added:

    #sidebar {
    	background: #ffffaa;
    	padding: 1.8em;
    	margin-right: 1.8em;
    }
  3. I would also like to get all of the widgets to float in the center rather than to the left.

    Here is an example you can start with:

    .widget {
    	text-align: center;
    }

    #searchform input#s {
    	float: none;
    }

    .milestone-content {
    	margin: 0 auto;
    }

    That will center the widget titles and text as well as center the search input field and the milestone widget. Note that if you add additional widgets in the future, you may have to make adjustments in your CSS for those as well.
