Comments are counted, but text of comments absent ->

  1. Hi,

In revising old entries, I noticed that while the comments on THIS post are accounted for (i.e. it says "11 Comments") - the comments themselves do not show up. Other posts, such as THIS do not have such invisible comments.

As far as I can tell, the settings are the same - but obviously I'm overlooking something. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

The blog I need help with is nodeli.com.

  2. I should add that all the weirdly invisible comments are marked 'approved' on the edit page - so it's not that. I can also read the text of the comments there. But they do not show public for some reason.

    That's the mystery.

  3. The first post indicate 11 comments and none are visible in Firefox 6.0.
The second post indicates 8 comments and only 4 are visible.
You will have to contact Staff. Here’s the link After you use the searchbox, under the search results, at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.

  4. Thanks for the reply!

Actually, I might be able to account for the disparity in the second case: there are four (duplicate) comments that I never 'printed'. They were a vestige of the awkward migration of content to wordpress. But having eleven non-duplicates - that's what I can't explain.

That doesn't really help you to help me though, does it?

  5. No. I'm sorry but you still need to contact Staff as this is a peer support forum and we Volunteers do not have back-end access to blogs; only Staff do.

  6. Okay - done. Thanks for looking in.

  7. You're welcome and best wishes with your blog. :)
