Commercial content - allowed or not

  1. Hi all,

I went through all related posts and ToS for Commercial content, however I am not quite sure if I am allowed to insert specific content or not. Can you please help me out?

The blog is this >> samsungtvapps.wordpress.com and is about apps for Smart TV.

I want to use this for my team and blog about the latest
Blog about industry news, company news around apps
Other industry posts and offer team members the flexibility of wordpress.com in usage and hosting this
Create page that hosts how to videos, demos

    At the same time:

We will not use the post to insert 3rd party ads or other advertising platform
I do not want to use the page to sell products or services

That's it basically. I contacted Support but I have not got a reply yet, as I am trying to understand the above.
can you please let me know of your opinion on this?

    Thanks,

    Jason

  3. Yes, that's fine. As long as your content is original, not designed to direct people off WP.com, and obeys the other Terms of Service that's a perfectly fine use for a blog here.

  4. Including a simple link (FOR SURE NOT advertising or spam or however they are "called') is OK, correct?

For example to a page of the company or event another news site etc! IN the sidebar I will have "related pages"

As we use them every day! For reference, credit etc.

I understand but I want to exclude all possible scnarios and be in line with ToS. THanks AGAIN!

  5. A link, as long as it is not paid in kind or in money, is fine. Related Pages in sidebars is fine. What staff are concerned about are those cheesy spam blogs that have a small post and "For more, go here: http://WWW.OURCOMMERCIALWEBSTORE.COM" on every post.

  6. THANK you and happy blogging!!!

  7. You're welcome.
