Comparing "Stats" to Google Analytics

  • I am currently tracking visits to our WEBSITE using Google Analytics. However, since we are hosting our blog on wordpress.COM we are not able to track blog visits using the same tool.

I am hoping to grab data using the “stats” tool wordpress.COM provides and then compare that to the Google Analytics data.

Is there a way to download or export the stats to a spreadsheet? Or is there any other way to grab this data in order to compare it?

    Thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • I used to copy/paste it into a text file.

  • Thanks!

Where do you copy past from? The stats tool does not seem to show any kind of spreadsheet to pull from. Is there a place to grab an organized chart of data from “stats”?

  • Not a chart. Really old-skool. I Select All, Copy, Paste into a text file. Then I spend a minute or so deleting the unrelated code like headers etc. You can’t dump it straight into a spreadsheet unless you copy it bit by bit and paste into each cell. I suppose you could create a template with ten cells per section, eg Referrers, which would save some time.

  • Thanks. That was really helpful. I will get started on that!
