   When I learned that WordPress.com bloggers cannot add the Alexa ID code to their blog's source code, I saw that a few other posters in the forum mentioned Quancast so I decided to try it out.

   I went to Quancast.com and created an account there. It told me to submit my site to generate a unique tag, which I did. My tag starts with p-dffDJZ-******. However, I do not know how to add this tag to my blog's HTML. Quancast is telling me: "We are scanning your site(s). If you have not implemented your tag(s), please do so now".

   When I view my blog's HTML, it already has a Quancast tag there which is p-18-mFEk4J448M. I also noticed that Quancast seems to have data on my blog (https://www.quantcast.com/dougvitale.wordpress.com).

   So my question is: is it possible to do one of the following?

   1. Input the pre-existing P-code from my blog (p-18...) into my account on quancast.com, or

   2. Take the new code (p-dff...) from quancast.com and add it to my blog's HTML code (like what I did with the Google and Bing verification codes).

   Thanks very much to anyone who can clarify.

   You cannot embed the code from Quantcast into your free hosted WordPress.com blog as we cannot access our metadata and insert any code into our headers. However, all free hosted WordPress.com blogs are quantfied for as you have noted and Staff have inserted the code into the files that we bloggers cannot access on this multiuser blogging platform.

   Thanks for your reply. I emailed Quantcast about this situation and asked them to manually link my existing Quantcast tag with my quantcast.com account. I will post back here with the outcome.

   "Your site is already automatically Quantified since you have a wordpress blog. Since WordPress blogs cannot add the tag, it has already been added for you when you set up the blog. Your blog is Quantified under the same network as the other blogs are."

   Oh well.
