Confusion about colors & fonts

  1. Hello,
    I'm having trouble differentiating the color of my links from the color of the regular text in my posts and pages. I've purchased the colors and fonts upgrade, however for some reason it seems the color I've designated for my "links" is applying to all my regular text as well. I can't figure out why this is happening. Ideally I'd like the links to stay the color they are, and for the text to be a different color. Perhaps I need to use CSS for this, but I'm not very familiar with how to do that.

    My site is http://www.emmylaine.com

    Thanks for any help :)
    Emily

  2. It looks like your text/custom colors in your current palette are pretty similar, so that may be causing the issue.

    While the color picker is a great way to make certain customizations to your site, you may need to turn to custom CSS to make things a little more distinct, and to target specific styles beyond what the color picker offers.

    I'm going to move your thread to the CSS Customization forum so you can get additional assistance with custom CSS, but in the meantime, you might think about what color you want your links to be, and if, in fact, you want to change the text color as well.

    To help with this, there are hundreds of color picker sites out there, but here's one that you can start with. http://www.colorpicker.com/

  3. Hi there, the following will allow you to specify the color for the normal (not link) text in your content. Go to Appearance > Customize > CSS, delete the informational text and paste in the following and edit the (obnoxious) color code as desired.

    .entry-content {
        color: #00dd33;
    }
  4. THANK YOU!!!!!! That's exactly what I needed help with :-)

  5. You are welcome.
