Contact Form problem

  1. When I open a contact form I have added to a page it opens pre-filled with all my contact information instead of being blank , to be filled in by the sender.

    What am I doing wrong?
    Richard

The blog I need help with is shentherapy.net.

  2. Nothing. It's pre-filled out for everyone who is logged into WP.com. You're the only one who sees your information.

  3. OK, thanks,
so when I have a page that is for someone else, I go to the other tab on the form and insert their email address there?

  4. When you set up contact form your visitors complete their own details. You don't enter them - they do. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/

  5. Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear.
These are not visitors to my site.
this site has pages for many members of our association, each with their own email address
So I ma building pages and contact forms for each of them

    the site is at: shentherapy.net

  6. http://shentherapy.net/ is not hosted here at WordPress.COM. You need to post to the WordPress.ORG support forum for help with your site because it is not hosted by WordPress.COM.

WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have different logins http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

If you don't have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

  7. sorry, I happen to be a logged-in member of this forum.

  8. Yes indeed but that's not relevant. shentherapy.net is hosted by Tucows.com Co. Name Servers:
    ns46.domaincontrol.com
    ns45.domaincontrol.com
As your site is not hosted by WordPress.COM and we cannot help you here. If you don't have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

  9. I see that now that I am not welcome.
when I clicked on the help link in the jetpack contact form setup i was sent to wordpress.com
So I naturally thought I could get help from the forum. (I did from someone else who was a tad bit more friendly.)

  10. I'm not being unfriendly. I'm sharing the truth, which is that we do not provide support on this WordPress.COM support forum for any sites that are not hosted here. For all sites hosted elsewhere we are instructed to direct bloggers to the WordPress.ORG support forums and that is what I did.
