Contact form widget
Search is a wonderful thing:
Your link shows how to make a contact form in your post but not in a text widget. In fact, it says it can't be put in a widget (unless you know CSS). So, how do you put a contact form in a text widget?
Hello Janet - I wanted to do that - instead I put a straightforward link to the Contact Form page into one of my Text Widgets. It seemed to me to be better that way, because then correspondents would have a larger workspace. Have a look - third link down, top left on http://engageonline.wordpress.com/.

I noticed you have comments set to active On your
contact page I recommend editing the page & disabling
the comments so it don't confuse your readers.
miravogel, Great idea. Looks great that way, less clutter in the sidebar and, just as you said, more room for comments. Thank you!
I am probably being very dim here but if I add the text [contact-form] to my webpage I just get the text displayed when I update the page onto my website.
Do I have to insert it into the page in a partuicular way?
Any help is appreciated.
I had the same problem initially. Go back to the original Forum post and read all the way down. It explains that registered user (you) will see a blank form with his/her username showing above. You will have to get a non-registered person to hit your blog and check for the fill-in form.
Or just log out. ;)
