was just wondering, i use the regulus theme which does not have a contact page template. but blix and a lot of other themes seem to have it. so if i switched to blix, set up a contact page and then went back to regulus, will the page show ?
No, unfortunately they are specific to the theme. To use the contact page you'll have to use that theme.

You could always cheat and just stick up an email address on a Page instead of a form.
