Controlling the image from a gallery post which appears in the homepage post.

    When I post an image gallery I want to control which image from the gallery which appears in the post on the blog homepage.

    Prior to the last upgrade to the media library and gallery management windows it was the first picture from the gallery that appeared in the corresponding post on the blog homepage. Now it seems to be a random selection from the gallery.

    I've tried loading the image I want as a "featured image" but this simply means both the featured image I want and the randomly selected image from the gallery appear on the homepage post.

    Any help would be appreciated.
