Cookies enabled, still cant see my post

  1. Ok, so I just started up a page on WordPress, and then was horribly let down when I realized that every time I clicked on "New Post," I was greeted with an absolutely blank page. No text box, no blinking cursor, no preview button, no post button... nothing.

So I enabled third party cookies thinking that would fix it.
    Closed Internet Explorer, nothing.
    Restarted my computer, nothing.

I'm running IE9, have third party cookie filtering completely turned off, no firewall active, not even so much as my antivirus running in the background, and still, all I'm left with is a blank white page when I click on "New Post."

The only way I'm able to post is from the Android App on my Evo.

    Suggestions?

The blog I need help with is uprightcaesar.wordpress.com.

  2. Update: After restarting my computer once more, I am now able to view all the text boxes on the New Post screen.

However, now there is another problem:

I cannot read the text as I type, due to the fact that the text's color is white. On a white background, white text is quite difficult to see. Only once I highlight the area inside the text box am I able to see what I've typed.

    Once more... suggestions?

  3. Hello: uprightcaesar

However, now there is another problem:

I cannot read the text as I type, due to the fact that the text's color is white. On a white background, white text is quite difficult to see. Only once I highlight the area inside the text box am I able to see what I've typed.

    Once more... suggestions?

I had this issue shortly after I started blogging 4yrs ago it should be a simple fix click the new post while in the editor make sure the Visual editor mode is selected then click the down arrow on the A button and change the text color to black if you don't see such button you'll then need to press the Kitchen sink button after changing the text color you will need to write a letter then click save draft then click "Move To Trash" link afterwards...

If you see black text then after saving the draft post the editor should remember the defualt black for future post reference

  4. I see what the problem is...

I have no toolbar for text whatsoever. The "visual" menu is supposedly already selected on my New Post page, however, if I click on it, the text box for my post suddenly disappears completely, and I am unable to retrieve it. I end up right back where I started.

On a side note, when I click on the menu that says "Screen Options," just to the left of "Help," the "Help" menu disappears, and the "Screen Options" menu greys out.

All of my software is up to date, so I'm unsure as to why I would be having these problems.

    I'm at a loss.

  5. It sounds like a browser cache issue I recommend clearing your cookies and cache here is the documentation on how to clear your browser cache and cookies Browser Issues — Support — WordPress.com

I also recommend checking to make sure your flash and Java is up to date

You can find out your flash player version here → Adobe - Flash Player version check

You can check to see if your Java is update by visiting this link → Verify Java Version

I also recommend trying a different browser like Chrome or Firefox and see if the browser issues persist as well you can find the latest versions of the browsers here → Browse Happy

  6. Tried all the suggestions that you made, sl1k. All of my internet software was up to date, etc, so I simply switched to Firefox.

Still unsure what was causing the problem with IE9, but Firefox works like a charm.

  7. Do you have any plugins extensions or social, search, etc bars, enabled ?Because if you do one of the following variables may be interfering plus there is a website compatibility button on the IE9 browser. Have you activated the compatible mode when your on your WordPress site ? if you have not I recommend trying it out you could also start IE9 in safe mode which disables all extensions plugins etc, this will allow you the ability to see if the issue is extension related...

Here is a tutorial how to start IE9 in safe mode → How to Run Internet Explorer 9 in Safe Mode (Without Add-ons)

Here is a screenshot of the location of the compatibility button → http://i.imgur.com/vlpG0.png

If neither of those options work I recommend an Uninstall & Re-install of IE9 Here is Microsoft's Documentation for such task → How do I install or uninstall Internet Explorer 9?
