Could you please transfer my blog followers to my WP.org blog?

    I just moved my blog, Julie Dawn Fox in Portugal, from WP.com to WP.org, hosted by Go Daddy, and have taken my domain name, http://www.juliedawnfox.com with me.

    What I'd really like to transfer over is my blog followers. From other forum posts, I gather that is possible, at least for email subscribers, and potentially for WP.com followers.

    Can you help me?

    The blog I need help with is juliefox.wordpress.com.

    From staff member Kathryn:

    We are now able to migrate WordPress.com followers (who view posts in the Reader) in addition to email subscribers, so the old caveat about us having the ability to move “email subscribers only” is no longer needed.

    You will need jetpack installed.

    I've placed a modlook here so staff will see and help you.

    I've installed Jetpack and linked it to my WP.com account.

    Oh, sorry, I'm not Kathryn. I'm just a volunteer moderator! Someone from staff has to do your transfer, so just be patient. The modlook tag means staff will see it when they stop in tho these forums.

    Well, in that case, I need to do that too.

    Is a thread here the only way to accomplish that?

    As far as I know, yes. I don't see a way to do it via Jetpack alone.

    @juliefox: I have moved over all your WordPress.com subscribers as requested. Happy blogging!

    @notawoodpecker @1tess: correct, only Happiness Engineers can transfer subscribers at the moment, so anyone who needs that done needs to contact us (which will result either in a private request or a forum post). Developers have plans to make a user-facing tool for subscriber migration, but I don't have an ETA on that.
