Create a photo gallery?

    Hello!

    I have started a blog because I will be studying abroad for a semester and I would like to share my photos and experiences with my friends and family at home. I chose the Coraline theme and I really like it as I slowly get used to blogging. I do have one question that I can't seem to figure out. Is it possible to create a page of a photo gallery? Would I have to change themes for that? Or will I just have to create a photo page and then just post the photos as I would normally post a blog entry? If it is possible to have a photo gallery, please explain how. Thanks for your help!

    No, you can use the gallery feature to make a gallery on a page.

    Would you also want your pictures to have some context, as in part of a travelogue?

    Then post your photos as a part of a Gallery in a regular Post, include the post in a Category called "Gallery" and then create a Custom Menu for your entire site to bring all the posts that include a Gallery into the Navbar.

    Coraline, the theme you are using right now, also has a special style format for any Post in the Gallery category. You can learn more about it here:

    Also, when you update your blog with Posts, it sends out a notice to update services, like feedreaders. However, if you update a Page, no update notice is sent.

    Thanks everyone! I think it will work now. I don't have photos uploaded yet, but once I do I will definitely try these things out.
