Create a private article visible only with the link

  1. I whant to create an article, but, I whant than only the one who have the link can find this article.

The blog I need help with is scusamatichiamoorrore.com.

  2. You can create a "private" post or a "password protected post". http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/
Protected – The post is protected with a password you set. Any user that has the password can view a protected post.
Private – Posts are only visible to blog Editors and Administrators. Private posts are not visible in Blog Surfer, feeds, or in any search. A post can be private without being password protected.

  3. Hi Everyone,

I'm currently converting a mockup into a wordpress website for a client. One of the pages in the navigation list is called "Students" and it needs to be password protected. Here are the steps I have taken.

    Create a new page "Students"
In the "Publish" menu, Visibility > Password protected: "password"
    [ Update ]
    [ Preview page ]
What I see is a regular page, except the title of the page is changed to "Protected: Students"
The rest of the content is as you would expect for a non-password-protected page.
I am using WordPress 3.3.1. Is this one of those "known issues" that I don't know about? Thanks in advance.

  4. I am using WordPress 3.3.1.

Sorry, that site would be self-hosted and you need to head over to the WordPress.org forums as that is where self-hosted wordpress blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG are supported.

These forums are for those hosted here on the wordpress.COM free hosting service and things here work differently.

If you are not familiar with the differences, see this support document.
