creating a badge

  1. I've held a photo competition, and I want to create a badge that the finalists can add to their own blogs, stating they the were indeed finalists and linking to the competition. How do I do this?

The blog I need help with is fieldnotesfromfatherhood.com.

  2. A badge is an image. Once you have the image you can use this grab my button code generator to make a badge > http://www.mycoolrealm.com/sandbox/gbgen/

  3. Okay, so I've created the badge - no problem. I've inserted the correct code into a text widget in my secondary sidebar. Looks great. The only thing is that there is a box below it which displays a bunch of HTML code. How to I get rid of this? Thanks!

  4. I've put the badge into an image widget rather than a text one, and it's working fine. But the idea is to have other bloggers be able to display the badge. Is there a way to do that using an image widget, or do they need the "Grab My Button" code? And if so, again, how do you make it display the image without having the code visible?

  5. The code is what people should copy if they want to add the button to their site! If you just want the button on your site copy that and put it in the text area.

@ mmtread, if you go to my blog and this post you find out how to make a code, its very easy.

    tandava108 provided the answer above.

  8. So, the badge looks great, but once again, THERE IS A BOX BELOW WITH THE ENTIRE HTML CODE. How do I get rid of this?
