Creating A Gallery From Pics the Media Gallery

  1. How does one take pics from the Media Gallery and insert them a gallery? Currently I just re-upload them from my computer but that eats a lot of space. Any and all help appreciated.

The blog I need help with is grumpydisney.com.

  2. See here please:

If you upload images using the Add Media button above the post/page editor, they will be attached automatically. If you want to include images that you’ve already uploaded, you’ll need to attach them to a post or page before they will appear in a gallery. http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/

  3. You are the best timethief. I will give it a shot. Thanks for the link.

  4. The following process describes inserting an image which already exists in your blog’s Media Library. > Insert an Image You’ve Already Uploaded

  5. For a Gallery, you can do this without having to upload the images again by using the image ID number and "includes" in your Gallery shortcode, so, for example, the shortcode would look like:

    [gallery include="151,257,299,321"]

Here's how you find the image ID number http://agallerydemo.wordpress.com/2011/04/05/this-is-a-test-blog/how2findimageid/ and more information on making a Gallery from images already in the Media Library here http://agallerydemo.wordpress.com/2011/03/15/include-from-media-library-gallery/

Remember, this only works for the Gallery and not the Slideshow
