creating a link

  1. Can someone please help me, I hope this makes sense. But I cannot seem to find out how to create a link from one to another page on my blog. I have created the hyperlink but when you click on it to go to the page i want it does not work? How do i fix this?

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Priya

The blog I need help with is priyasheth16.wordpress.com.

  2. You don't help us help you when you make vague questions. Where exactly is the link and which page should it link to?

  3. Sorry!

If you go onto my blog and on the "bub's first foods' (most recent post), scroll down and there is a link saying sample menu which it is suppose to link to another page with the menu. But it is not connecting to the page.

I hope this is a bit better!

    Thanks,
    Priya

  4. A lot better!

    a) The URLs you've used say page not found. If the URLs are correct, then the pages you want to link to are drafts or private. They need to be published and public.
    b) You copypasted some extra stuff after the URLs.

Also, the URLs you seem to want to link to are these:
    http://priyasheth16.wordpress.com/2013/05/30/sample-menu/
    http://priyasheth16.wordpress.com/sample-menu2
If they are correct, the second one is a static page but the first one is a post: not reasonable!

  5. Thanks for your help.

But i am still having trouble, is there a way i can publish the sample menu without coming on my home page (as a new post)?

    Sorry i am really struggling!

    Thanks again!

  6. You can't exclude a recent post from showing on the homepage. So create the content in Pages > Add New and publish the page. Since you're using a custom top menu, a new page won't show in the menu unless you tell it to. After you publish the page and give me it's exact title, I can show you how to create the link correctly.
