Creating a Link that Will Download an MP3 from My Site

  1. I have uploaded some MP3 files to my media library. I know how to make them play on a page. But I also want to add a link that when clicked will DOWNLOAD the file (or at least give the option to save or save as) to the viewer's computer. How can this be accomplished?

The blog I need help with is emmanuelbaptistmineral.org.

  2. Just put them in as a text link then. Type some text like click to download the Barney song, highlight it, click the Link icon, and put in the URL of the actual MP3, which you get from the Media Library.

  3. That results in a new tab being opened in the browser and the MP# being played in QuickTime. I do not get a "Save" prompt.

  4. Type "Right click to save". It really depends on the way they've set their browser.
