   I want to create a website with a list of businesses and links from our website to theirs.

   Criteria:
   1. The ability for each individual business to be able to manage their own listing, update and upload their own information however we receive a notification every time they make a change so we can vet any changes made to the information. (Doesn't matter if we cant)

   2. From each business we need a section to put their ABN where the public can't view this.

   3. Information to Be Displayed on Screen
    Name of Company
    Logo
    Description
    Ways that companies can showcase and engage with the public (ie. Sponsorship, fundraising, staff engagement programs)
    Link to their website
    Contact details

   4. Search Function to look for a certain business listed on the website

   Can someone please tell me if WordPress can offer all of some of these functions?

   Yes, but not WordPress.COM. WordPress.ORG can do this. It will not be cheap.

   Monthly costs, all things considered, will run you about $10 to $25. It may or may not be that there is a plugin that can be used to limit users to editing certain pages. You would have to research that. If something doesn't already exist, then you would have to hire a developer to build a plugin for you. That can run anywhere from $500 to as much as $5,000 (given what you want to do is more complex, I would expect $2,500 to $5,000). That isn't the end of the cost on the plugin either. Each time wordpress comes out with an upgrade, it might break your plugin, so you would also have some updating and maintenance costs on the plugin.

   If you go to the Code Poet page on WordPress.org, people in that listing can give you estimates. It's all fairly straightforward except for the private area for each company. Expect to pay about $65 an hour for this and up.
