Creating forum

  1. Hi,

It could be nice to create your own forums in wordpress.com.
It could be nice to customize a lot the way your forum is looking, like menu size, if you want to put author name on a topic, etc.

I would like to create a forum like that http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/forums/show/3795.page

    thx

If you don't understand the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, you may find this information helpful.

If you forgot to include a link to your blog, you can reply and include it below. It'll help people to answer your question.

I would like to add to the request for the option to create a forum on WordPress.com. It would be extremely useful to create a page where users can generate content for the blog that is separate from the pages and posts.

  4. There is no FTP access and we cannot install chatboard or forum plugins for security reasons. They are only for WordPress.org installs and can't be used on free hosted WordPress.com blogs.

There no message board, forum or wiki that you can embed into a free hosted WordPress.com blog. You have three free forum options: http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/04/23/wordpress-com-forum-options/
You have these free wiki options http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2011/06/13/whats-a-wiki/

  5. Forums and blogs are different things. Wikis are different again. You are free to create them elsewhere and link to them via custom headers. If you want them all integrated in one site on one URL you should buy hosting somewhere and build it all.
