Creating text link to popup image - using NextGen Gallery?

  1. Simple request: I want a text link to pop up an image that floats over the page and which closes when you click on it. Exactly as NextGen gallery images do - but I don't want to click a thumbnail, I want to click a text link

I have NextGen installed & working if that is any help

    Thanks!

The blog I need help with is www.bolide.co.uk.

  3. To answer my own question, edit the post and use the HTML editor to enter the following:

    Text_Link

This will link to the image "image_id", with a description "Image_Title" from gallery "gallery_name"

On clicking the link the image will float above the page as it does in a gallery

  4. To answer my own question, edit the post and use the HTML editor to enter the following:

    <a class="shutterset_set_8 title="Image_Title" href="http://yourblogURL/wordpress/wp-content/gallery/gallery_name/image_id.jpg">Text_Link</a>

This will link to the image "image_id", with a description "Image_Title" from gallery "gallery_name"

On clicking the link the image will float above the page as it does in a gallery

  5. Does no good here at wordpress.COM because we cannot use plugins. Your blog is self-hosted which means the correct forum to post questions in for you is http://wordpress.ORG/support/ . We cannot help you with the software you are using which is different from the software used here in key ways (such as us not being able to use plugins so we have absolutely no knowledge of them).
