   I received an email this morning telling me that my site inflationishere was up for auto-renewal. Strangely it said this renewal would occur in 30 days on March 2, 2012. This is odd given that March 2nd is in 1 day and not 30.

   I did not wish to renew this domain. So I went into my dashboard and I turned off auto-renew so that the page would expire and I would not be charged. This is all that I did. 7 hours later I receive an email telling me that I have been charged $17 and my site is renewed. I did not authorize this charge. Can anyone explain this? Is there anyone at wordpress who I can contact to get this resolved?

   Thanks for the reply, I submitted the issue there. I was hoping someone on the staff could address it here since from the sounds of things it could take weeks to get a response from submitted inquiries. I'd prefer to get this taken care of through wordpress rather than having to dispute the charges with my credit card company.

   Sorry about that, the email was a bit wrong. We do renew domains set to auto-renew a month early, as a simple failed transaction could result in the loss of the domain if we waited until the expiration date.

   I have canceled and refunded your domain as requested.
