Cross posting to a group blog

    Hello. I am setting up a group blog where each member of the community has an individual blog. What I would like to do is have each members post on their individual blog automatically cross posted to the group blog. I have used a feed aggregator like Yahoo pipes to create feed mashups but I want to be able to retain the commenting function hence the need to have each post from the individual blog automatically reposted as an individual entry on the group blog. Any ideas?

    The blog I need help with is marmotee.wordpress.com.

    Hello there,
    Wordpress.COM is strictly a blogging platform and not for aggregation. The only place we can post RSS feed widgets is in our sidebars of our blogs. We cannot post RSS feed into Pages or into Posts. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/rss-widget/

    Due to the fact that some days here on the wordpress.COM forum up to 30% of the posts are made by bloggers who ought to be posting to the wordpress.ORG support forum, and also due to the fact that there are software differences and the answers to the same questions are not the same answer, we require that you post the URL for the blog to which you are referring. Will you do that now please?

    You can use RSS feeds in the sidebar of the group blog but the RSS widgets cannot be placed in posts or pages as as I have stated above. Aside from that I have no other suggestions to make.

    Granted you could copy and paste the posts from each member's blog into pages on the main blog but that would create duplicate content and could subject the blogs to Google's duplicate content penalties. Search engines are aimed at delivering the most relevant results in their SERPs (search engine page results) and creating duplicate content pollutes and dilutes the relevance of the SERPS http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=66359
