CSS Customisation: headers & photos

  1. Hi,
    I am trying to customise my blog and I have found many of the answers through searching your previous answers. However, there are still a couple of questions I have outstanding that I hope you can help me with:

    1 - I have changed the colour of the navigation bar (beneath the header) to white, but there is still a border around it that I cannot remove. Can you help please?

    2 - Can you change the colour of the navigation bar when you hover over it? It is currently grey and I would maybe like to change it.

    3 - I have posted a test photo and I see that there is a big grey box beneath with information about when it was posted etc. How can I change the colour and size of this?

    Thanking you in advance.
    David

    The blog I need help with is bnppipapacsummit2012.com.

  2. Thanks timethief, this helped perfectly for points 1 & 2 (though we did change it back in the end as our ideas didn't quite work out as planned).

    Can anyone help with point 3?

  3. 3 - I have posted a test photo and I see that there is a big grey box beneath with information about when it was posted etc. How can I change the colour and size of this?

    To change the background color and size of the box below image posts in the Twenty Eleven theme, try this:

    .indexed.format-image footer.entry-meta {
        background: white;
        padding: 0;
    }
  4. Thanks designsimply (love your title 'happiness engineer'!). That worked a treat. The text hover over text is now white though, is it possible to keep it black, but with an underline to show the hover over?

  5. Thanks!

    Ah, I didn't notice the hover color before. You can change it like this:

    .indexed.format-image footer.entry-meta a:hover {
    	color: black;
    }
