CSS help on footer for blogum theme

  1. I can't seem to customize my footer with my information. Is there a way to do this? thanks!

    The blog I need help with is pubgraphics.wordpress.com.

  2. Are you referring to CSS editing? See here please >

    May I remove credit links such as ‘Blog at !WordPress.com’, theme, font, or toolbar links?
    All WordPress.com bloggers are required to maintain the credit links, even our VIP bloggers. Please do not hide the footer credits or the toolbar with CSS after purchasing a Custom Design upgrade. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#frequently-asked-questions

  3. Ok, well, can I add to it such as including my company name, all rights reserved etc...
    does the same apply when I switch it over to wp.org which we are planning to do?

  4. Hi again,
    You can add your company information by creating the text in a text widget and positioning it with CSS editing. I have flagged this thread so it will be moved to the CSS Forum where Staff provide support and will also reply to your question about moving to WordPress.org. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/

  5. @pubgraphics, you can add text to the footer area in the Blogum theme with the WordPress.com custom design upgrade. Here is an example:

    .footer p:after {
    	content: " Put your text here.";
    }
  6. For some reason it didn't grab it.... any other thoughts?

  7. Your experience as I did at that time, where I have to get the right themes for a column that can be left, right, footer and header images.
    Finally I found a few days ago with the theme of "Mystique".
    View the blog I had as an example here
    Hope it helps ...

  8. thank you; all I'm looking for is a way to post our company name and all rights reserved.... nothing fancy.

  9. theme for the business ...
    Explore wordpress.com blog is not for business.
    for businesses to use wordpress.co.cc
    hopefully help...

  10. @pubgraphics, your CSS didn't save properly. Looks like you probably missed a quote mark when you added it. Try again and make sure the part after content is in quotes.

    Currently, you have this on your Appearance → Custom Design → CSS page:

    .footer p:after {
    	content:"
    }

    You should update it to this instead:

    .footer p:after {
    	content: " Put your text here.";
    }
  11. yep that was it! Thanks once again Design Simply! You're helping me whip the blog into shape!

  12. Yay!
