Currently on "Mistylook". Need similar theme with muti pages and my cover image.

  1. I am befuddled. I have been happily using Mistylook for my blog for about a year. Created a website from IMCreator but the support has been jaw droppingly horrid. Friend says I can integrate my blog with my website (cut and paste which I am fine with). I have figured out that WordPress has different themes and only some allow multiple pages. I want something similar to what I already have (Mistylook) but with multiple pages, preferably with 2 pages postable (my blog and a farm log page as well). It seems whenever I find a theme that looks like it could work I can not choose my own cover image. The searching is taking forever and I see no way to filter through the search to search for the sort of theme I want. Can anyone help me?

The blog I need help with is backporchfarm.wordpress.com.

  2. The theme that I suggest to replace Misty Look is the one I'm using which is Misty Lake.

  3. preferably with 2 pages postable

There is only one dynamic page we can post directly too in any blog. By default it is the front page of the blog that all posts display on.

Pages and Posts are NOT the same. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
The pages http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ we bloggers create are static and cannot automatically update. Only the dynamic categories pages created by the software will automatically update.

Though there is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts (not pages) and we cannot post to more than that one page, we can create the appearance that we have posted to more than one page. We organize posts by assigning categories to them. You can create a custom menu and add the dynamic categories pages into the custom menu.

    Here’s a link to a custom menu walk-through > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2011/08/11/wordpress-com-custom-menu-walk-through/

There are many common errors, misunderstandings and misconceptions when creating custom menus and you can read about them here > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/12/19/custom-menus/

  4. Thank you for the comments and support! I actually discovered that Mistylook DOES allow pages. It just took several days for me to figure it all out. So all is good! And I will experiment with the dynamic categories soon. :)
