Custom Design

  1. hi, i am totally new to wordpress. i purchased domain and also custom design from wordpress and when i enter the css tab, its written there

    * Welcome to Custom CSS!

    CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) is a kind of code that tells the browser how to render a web page. You may delete these comments and get started with your customizations.

    By default, your stylesheet will be loaded after the theme stylesheets, which means that your rules can take precedence and override the theme CSS rules. Just write here what you want to change, you don't need to copy all your theme's stylesheet content.

    If you need any further help, ask in the CSS Customization forum.
    */ ''

    what do they mean by that?
    what am i suppose to do if for example i would like to remove the '' leave a reply'' box from my blog?

    thank you

    The blog I need help with is sixthempire.com.

  2. Well, in that particular example, you don't need CSS at all. You can follow this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/

    If you did want to hide comment links using CSS, you could do it like this in the Twenty Ten theme. Note that CSS is specific to the theme you are using:

    .comments-link {
    display: none;
    }

    You may want to start by checking out a CSS beginner tutorial like this one:

    And there are also some examples posted here:
