Custom domain email

  1. I've placed a ticket with 123-reg however I'm not sure whether this is something that WordPress.com can help with...

I have purchased my domain name from 123-reg and mapped the domain to my wordpress.com hosted blog. I would now like to create a custom domain email address. Previously I have done so successfully with another (non-wordpress mapped) domain purchased through 123-reg and using the outlook.com service.

However when trying to do so with my wordpress mapped account I cannot, as the DNS for gymnesia.com is not currently set to the 123-reg nameservers (I assume due to the domain mapping). I am unable to set up a custom domain email as I cannot confirm domain ownership.

Is there anything I can do wordpress-side to help this?

Ideally I don't want to use another email service as all of my accounts are outlook.com hosted and I'm looking for a free service initially until I understand the frequency of use.

The blog I need help with is gymnesia.com.

  2. WordPress.com does not provide an email service for domains. See here for the only help I can point you to http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/add-email/

  3. I think this link is all I need, thank you @timethief

  4. You're welcome and best wishes with the set up.
