   Hi
   I have purchased a new public custom domain, in order to remove the "wordpress" from the URL, along with starting a wordpress.com account and starting my blog today. Yet the domain - shanibit.com - is not working and does not lead to my wordpress.com blog. whois says it's available.
   Tried going into Store>Domains and adding the domain and activating it but the result was: "The domain shanibit.com is available to be registered and added to your blog. You can use it as your blog address for $17.00 a year." and a form to fill which I already filled up and paid for.
   Where did my custom domain purchase go wrong?

   The blog I need help with is shanibit.wordpress.com.

   I don't see any transactions under your account. Did you receive a receipt from us?

   No I did not receive a receipt. Does that mean I was not charged and the domain not registered? Should I go through registering the custom domain again?

   Yes, I definitely recommend trying again. It sounds like the whole process was never completed the first time.
